Where avenues meet, with such grace. It's called the Place Charles de Gaulle, Once known as Étoile, a name so regal. In a grand junction, like a poetic surge. The Champs-Élysées, the most famous of all, Leads to this square, standing tall. Charles de Gaulle, a hero of the state. In nineteen seventy, the change was made, But its old name lingers, like a sweet serenade. Charles de Gaulle–Étoile, a name so clear. A station close by, with a grand design, Guiding travelers, like a star that shines. The Arc de Triomphe, standing bold.
