Qian Daxin
In ancient China's land so grand,
There lived a scholar, oh so grand.
Qian Daxin was his name,
A man of wisdom and great fame.
He studied history, language too,
And served his country, through and through.
As a commissioner, he did strive,
To educate and help all thrive.
Qian Daxin had a special view,
On the Spring and Autumn Annals, it's true.
He criticized the moralizing way,
And said history's importance should have its say.
His kaozheng approach was bold,
To understand history, he was sold.
He believed in facts and evidence,
To uncover truth and make sense.
Qian Daxin's legacy still remains,
In the diplomat who bears his name.
Qian Qichen, wise and true,
Continued the family's intellectual pursuit.
