In Sokcho city, there's a base so grand, Where planes once soared over the land. With a single runway, so long and wide, It served hikers who went to Seoraksan's side. K-50 it was called during the war, A place where planes would take to the floor. The USAF flew high in the sky, Protecting the land, so brave and spry. But now the base is no longer in use, For a new airport came, with a different muse. Yangyang International, it took the crown, Leaving Sokcho Air Base with a solemn frown. Yet memories remain of days gone by, When planes would take off and touch the sky. Hikers would come, ready to explore, Seoraksan's beauty, forevermore.
