RRA 1976
To stop discrimination, it came to aid.
No more judging by race, colour or nation,
Equality for all, was the foundation.
Protecting workers in a special way.
Contract workers, they were named,
Their rights and dignity, it proclaimed.
To broaden the Act, with a steady pace.
No restriction on protection, they declared,
Contract workers' rights, were truly shared.
Was established, with a noble decree.
To review the Act, and ensure its might,
Promoting fairness, both day and night.
A duty on public bodies, it sounded.
To promote racial equality, they must strive,
Showing effective procedures, to keep discrimination alive.
Replaced by the Equality Act, you see.
But its legacy lives on, in hearts and minds,
A reminder to treat all, with kindness and binds.
