Ro-13-class submarine
A submarine, a secret shell.
Kaichū, they were called with pride,
In World War II, they did ride.
Medium-sized, not too long.
Derived from Navy Medium Type,
They sailed the seas, so swift, so ripe.
Ro-33 and Ro-35, their claims to fame.
Armed with guns and torpedoes too,
Ready for battle, they sailed through.
Allied forces took their role.
Destroyed in combat, one by one,
Only Ro-50 saw the sun.
The Kaichū submarines, lost forever.
In the depths of the sea, they rest,
A testament to history's test.
