In Puerto Rico's land so fair, Stands a city beyond compare, San Juan, the capital so grand, With history and beauty hand in hand. Founded in fifteen twenty-one, By Spanish colonists, the work begun, Ciudad de Puerto Rico, they named it true, A rich port city, where dreams come through. Old San Juan, a treasure trove, With buildings old and stories woven, Fort San Felipe del Morro, standing tall, And Fort San Cristóbal, guarding all. La Fortaleza, a mansion so fine, Oldest in the Americas, a true design, Declared a World Heritage Site, In nineteen eighty-three, a shining light.
