SU-5-2
In the land of the Soviets, in the thirties so grand,
Talented engineers, with tanks in their hand,
They worked at the factory, oh so bright,
Creating modifications, day and night.
The T-26 tank, a light infantry delight,
Was transformed into vehicles, oh what a sight,
Flame tanks and tractors, they did create,
Radio-controlled tanks, so hard to relate.
Military engineering vehicles, strong and tough,
Self-propelled guns, packing quite a punch,
Armoured personnel carriers, for soldiers to ride,
These modifications, brought joy far and wide.
But alas, in the midst of Stalin's great purge,
Many engineers were silenced, their work in a surge,
The self-propelled guns, and carriers, they ceased,
But their legacy lived on, in the tanks released.
In times of war, on the battlefield so grim,
The T-26 tanks, modified on a whim,
Armoured combat vehicles, they became,
A testament to the engineers' enduring fame.
