A snail resides, with shell beside. Scabricola ivanmarrowi, its name so grand, A miter snail, in the ocean's sand. It glides through the water, so smooth and fine. Its colors, a mix of brown and white, A beautiful sight, in the pale moonlight. But it's not just its size that makes it enthrall. It's a marine gastropod mollusk, you see, A special snail, in the deep blue sea. Using its radula, oh so spry. It's a filter feeder, with a unique way, To survive and thrive, each passing day.
