TWA Flight 529
In the sky so high, TWA took flight,
Passengers aboard, all filled with delight,
From Boston to San Fran, they'd soar through the air,
But little did they know, tragedy was near.
On that fateful day, in sixty-one,
The plane took off, the journey begun,
But as it climbed higher, something went awry,
A bolt came loose, causing the plane to fly.
The elevator control, it lost its hold,
The plane pitched up, a story yet untold,
With a sudden stall, it started to descend,
The passengers' joy turned to fear in the end.
The crash was tragic, the loss was great,
All seventy-eight lives met a cruel fate,
The investigation showed what went wrong,
A tiny bolt missing, the cause all along.
So let us remember, those who were lost,
Their lives cut short, at such a high cost,
And may we learn, from this sorrowful tale,
To keep our planes safe, so no more lives shall fail.
