UC-27

A minelaying submarine, a tale I will tell. SM UC-27, her name so grand, In the German Imperial Navy, she took her stand. She sailed the waters, under a silver moon. Commissioned in July, ready for the fight, UC-27 set sail, with all her might. To sink the enemy ships, far and near. With torpedoes and mines, she caused quite a stir, Sinking 58 vessels, her victories did occur. A ship called SS Skifted, its story to be told. Carrying many souls, on a December morn, It met its demise, by UC-27's scorn. And SS Skifted was struck, in the dark of the night. Near Ledsun it sank, on the Lemland shore, Leaving behind sorrow, forevermore. Surrendered to France, her fate to transcend. Broken up in Landerneau, her journey complete, A U-boat's legacy, forever bittersweet. Random page: ROAD FC 032
