A submarine did gently glide. UC-56, her name so grand, A U-boat built by German hands. To sail the waters, brave and new. March the fourth, her keel was laid, A vessel strong, a fearsome blade. A proud moment for all, both old and young. Into the navy she was commissioned, SM UC-56, with great precision. In the darkness before the dawn. With torpedoes ready, she set her course, Seeking enemies with fierce force. UC-56's fate, it was foretold. Unable to submerge, she had to rest, In Santander, Spain, she found her nest.
