In the land of Europe, united and grand, The EU was formed, a mighty band. With countries joining, they worked as one, But the UK decided, it was time to be done. In 1973, the UK took its place, As a member of the EU, with a smiling face. But years went by, and opinions did change, A referendum was held, and the UK chose to estrange. Brexit it was called, a historic event, The UK said goodbye, with good intent. The withdrawal agreement, now plays a role, In the relations between them, to make them whole. Northern Ireland, a land in between, With a border to Ireland, a sight to be seen. The European Court of Justice, still has its say, In Northern Ireland, it will continue to stay.
