Uab Metô language

In West Timor, where the Atoni reside, A language is spoken with so much pride. Uab Meto, or Dawan, it is called, Words flowing like a river, never stalled. But in Oecussi-Ambeno, a place so grand, A variant of Uab Meto, they understand. Baikenu is its name, unique and true, With words from Portuguese, it's something new. When gratitude is felt, and thanks are due, In Baikenu, a different word they use. Instead of "terima kasih," they say, "Obrigadu," in a melodic way. Children of Uab Meto, come gather round, Let's learn the language, with joy profound. From West Timor to Oecussi-Ambeno's shore, Uab Meto's beauty we will explore.
