Ubagarampillai Sagayam
Once upon a time, in a land far away,
There lived a man named Sagayam, they say.
A civil servant with a heart so true,
He fought against corruption, through and through.
With a sign on his door, for all to see,
"Reject bribes, hold your head high," it read with glee.
He stood up to politicians, brave and bold,
And their supporters, who thought they could control.
The state elections, fair and free.
He enforced the laws against vote-buying,
And played a role in the government's changing.
Investigating illegal granite-mining, he did,
Uncovering the truth, despite the bid.
Politicians and businesses, he charged with might,
Even those from influential families, in plain sight.
Transferred many times, but never deterred,
Sagayam's efforts, the common man heard.
A hero of folklore, a legend so grand,
Fighting corruption, with a noble stand.
