Uganda-class cruiser

In the Royal Navy, they sailed so grand, The Fiji-class cruisers, a mighty band. Eleven in total, each with a name, After colonies, they were proudly named. They served in the war, with courage and might, Through oceans and battles, they'd glide day and night. From Fiji to Ceylon, they sailed with pride, Their presence on the seas, could not be denied. Compact and sturdy, they were built so fine, A modification of the Town-class design. With guns on their decks, they'd defend the fleet, Protecting the Empire, in every feat. The Colony class, they were sometimes called, Or Crown Colony class, as stories recalled. Their service was vast, throughout the war, A symbol of bravery, forevermore. So let's remember these cruisers so grand, The Fiji-class heroes, across the land. In history's pages, their names shall remain, A tribute to their service, we shall sustain.
