VL-bus
In the land of computers, where circuits do roam,
There lived a bus called VL, with a speed all its own.
VESA created it, with a clever plan in mind,
To make graphics faster, for a better design.
Alongside ISA, VL-Bus did reside,
A high-speed conduit, where graphics could glide.
Video cards were happy, with memory-mapped I/O,
And DMA was a breeze, with a speedy flow.
Add-in card makers, with a twinkle in their eye,
Tapped into VL-Bus, to make graphics fly.
No more waiting and lagging, the images were clear,
VL-Bus made sure, there was no need to fear.
Even 386DX motherboards, joined the VL-Bus scene,
With a slot for the bus, they were part of the dream.
The speed and the power, made everything grand,
VL-Bus was the hero, of the computer land.
So let's remember VL-Bus, with its high-speed flair,
It made graphics faster, with a touch of magic in the air.
VESA created a gem, for all to enjoy,
VL-Bus, the whizzy bus, that brought us so much joy.
