XTree for Windows
Once upon a time, in the land of DOS,
There lived a file manager, loved by all, you know.
XTree was its name, a program so grand,
With a character-mode interface, it took command.
With Underwear Systems, it first came to be,
On April Fool's Day, in 1985, you see.
Executive Systems, Inc. took it under their wing,
And XTree became a popular thing.
In a world of command lines, it filled a need,
A graphical touch, it brought with speed.
DOS had its shell, but it wasn't the best,
XTreeGold outshined it, passing the test.
Support for Zip compression, it could provide,
And undeleting files, it did with pride.
With little memory, it worked like a charm,
In a time when programs needed less to perform.
So children, remember this tale of old,
XTree, the file manager, brave and bold.
In the land of DOS, it was a shining star,
A program cherished, both near and far.
