YAPC
In the world of Perl, where code is king,
There's a conference that makes programmers sing.
It's called The Perl Conference, a gathering grand,
Where minds come together, hand in hand.
At Carnegie Mellon, in the year '99,
The first YAPC took place, oh so fine.
With 31 speakers, their knowledge they shared,
And the love for Perl, they all declared.
From Pittsburgh to Europe, the conference did grow,
To Israel, Australia, and places we know.
In Asia and Brazil, and even in Russia,
YAPC spread its wings, causing quite a ruckus.
But in 2016, a change came about,
YAPC transformed, there was no doubt.
The Perl Conference it became, a new name to bear,
With O'Reilly Open Source Convention to share.
And now in 2020, a new chapter begins,
The Perl and Raku Conference, the excitement it brings.
With Perl 6 renamed to Raku, a language anew,
The conference evolves, with wonders to pursue.
So gather your code, your ideas, and your dreams,
At The Perl Conference, where magic gleams.
Come join the community, embrace the Perl way,
And together we'll code, each and every day.
