In the sky, up high, where stars do gleam, Observatories stand, like a dream. With codes they're known, by the IAU, Guiding us through the night, in a celestial ballet. MPC codes, they're called, so grand, Each observatory has one in hand. From A to Z, they span the globe, Helping astronomers in their cosmic probe. A01, Kitt Peak, in Arizona's land, With its mighty telescopes, it takes a stand. B01, Siding Spring, in Australia's embrace, Gazing at the stars, with a smile on its face. C02, Mauna Kea, so tall and proud, In Hawaii's mountains, it's allowed. D03, La Silla, in Chile's vast terrain, Searching for answers, in the sky's domain. From E04 to Z99, the list goes on, Observatories shining, from dusk till dawn. With their codes, they mark their place, Guiding us through space, with grace and grace.
