YIBK (gene)

There lived an enzyme, oh so grand, Its name was quite a mouthful, you see, tRNA (cytidine34-2'-O)-methyltransferase, let's call it TrmL, shall we? To transform molecules in just one hour, With S-adenosyl-L-methionine, it would begin, To methylate cytidine34 in tRNA, oh what a spin! TrmL would work its magic, and so much more, Cytidine or 5-carboxymethylaminomethyluridine it would change, To 2'-O-methylcytidine34 or 5-carboxymethylaminomethyl-2'-O-methyluridine, how strange! In its laboratory, it would never fail, To methylate tRNALeuCmAA and tRNALeucmnm5UmAA, Creating a chemical reaction, oh what a display! In the world of enzymes, it shines so bright, With its systematic name and powers so grand, TrmL, the mysterious enzyme of the scientific land! Random page: BHP Billiton plc
