Yr Elen
In Snowdonia, you proudly stand.
Ninth highest peak, majestic and tall,
A mountain that amazes us all.
With Carnedd Llewelyn, oh so nigh.
A short walk away, we can see,
The beauty of Yr Elen, wild and free.
Through wet valleys, we'll make our break.
Crossing rivers, we'll be strong and brave,
To reach Yr Elen's peak, we'll surely crave.
Up the "front edge" we will go.
The stunning views, oh what a sight,
Bangor and Anglesey, bathed in sunlight.
Is it after Eleanor, a name in history?
Or perhaps a leech, attached so tight,
To the side of Carneddau, day and night.
