Yáhuar Huaca
A young prince's tale we'll come to know,
Yawar Waqaq, his name so grand,
A ruler of the Incan land.
Yawar grew beneath the Andean skies,
But his childhood took a twist,
As he was taken, oh what a tryst!
Abducted Yawar, a story told,
Tears of blood streamed down his face,
A captive prince in a foreign place.
Chimpu Orma, a mistress, brought him room,
With her help, he escaped the strife,
Back to his people, back to life.
Yawar Waqaq, a king well known,
He conquered lands, his kingdom grew,
Pillauya, Choyca, and many more too.
Yawar Waqaq, a tale we sing,
A ruler brave, with a heart so true,
In the land of Cusco, where dreams come through.
