In the deep blue sea, where the ships sail free, There was a mighty vessel, called USS Acme. With a mission so grand, to keep the waters clear, She sailed through the waves, without any fear. Laid down in '54, by the Sample Shipyard crew, USS Acme was built, sturdy and true. Launched in '55, with a cheer and a shout, She was ready to sail, there was no doubt. Mrs. Sullivan, so proud, as she christened the ship, With her husband, a captain, on a naval trip. The Acme was commissioned, on a September day, To sweep away mines, and keep danger at bay. With her Acme-class design, she was strong and swift, Removing the mines, was her special gift. Through the treacherous waters, she would glide, Protecting the ships, with her brave crew inside. So let's raise our voices, and give a big cheer, For the USS Acme, a ship we hold dear. With her mission complete, she sailed into the night, A true hero of the sea, shining so bright.
