AT&T UNIX

In the mid-1960s, a tale we must tell, Of MIT, Bell Labs, and General Electric as well, They worked together, oh so clever, Creating an operating system, they called it Multics, you see. Multics was grand, with innovations galore, But it had its problems, that's for sure, Bell Labs grew weary, they wanted something new, So they pulled out of Multics, bid it adieu. But the dream didn't end, oh no, not quite, Ken Thompson, Dennis Ritchie, they saw the light, They wanted a system, small and tight, A fellowship of programmers, shining so bright. Unix was born, a vision so clear, A system for programming, oh my dear, But it was more than that, it was a place, Where communication thrived, at a steady pace. So remember this story, my little friend, Of Unix's birth, a tale to defend, It taught us the value of working together, Creating a community that will last forever. Random page: PICT
