DADE-B
In the sky, two satellites flew,
DADE-A and DADE-B, oh how they grew!
Launched by NASA, they were quite grand,
To explore the air density, across the land.
On a December day, with hope in the air,
At Vandenberg Air Force Base, they prepared.
The clock struck 03:35:01, the time was right,
The Scout F-1 launch vehicle took flight.
Up into the heavens, the satellites soared,
Their mission, to gather data, they adored.
But alas, dear children, it's sad to say,
The launch of the DADE satellites went astray.
Despite their dreams, they couldn't prevail,
The satellites faced a launch vehicle fail.
But let us remember their brave endeavor,
To explore the air density, now and forever.
So let's look up at the night sky so vast,
And remember the DADE satellites of the past.
Their story reminds us to never give in,
For even in failure, new adventures begin.
