In Karnataka's land, long ago, Lived a saint, Kanaka Dasa, you know. He followed Madhvacharya's wise belief, And brought joy through music, beyond belief. A poet and musician, he was so grand, Composing keertanas, across the land. With his words so simple, in Kannada he wrote, Bringing smiles to all, with every note. His songs were like flowers, blooming bright, Spreading love and wisdom, day and night. Through his melodies, hearts were touched, As his music flowed and souls were clutched. Kanaka Dasa, a reformer true, Fought against injustice, through and through. He taught us to see beyond caste and creed, And treat every person with love indeed.
