Or Hashem
In a land so far away,
A wise Rabbi used to say,
About a book that shines so bright,
With wisdom that brings us light.
Or Adonai, it's called with care,
A treasure for us all to share,
The words within, so deep and true,
Will guide us in all that we do.
Some may call it Or Hashem,
To honor God, they may contend,
But the light it brings, no matter the name,
Will fill our hearts with joy and flame.
Rabbi Crescas, wise and kind,
His words, like music, in our mind,
He showed us how to seek the way,
To find the truth, day by day.
So let us read this sacred book,
With open hearts, let's take a look,
For in its pages, we will find,
The Light of the Lord, so pure and kind.
