In South Germany, a group did form, With jazz musicians, all skilled and warm. They played on TV, for all to see, United Jazz + Rock Ensemble, they would be. Their music was a mix, a fusion so grand, From jazz to rock, they'd lend a hand. Original compositions, they would create, With ethnic elements, they'd innovate. Band of Band Leaders, they were called, For each member, their own band enthralled. Teaching positions, they held with pride, Sharing their knowledge, far and wide. For 27 years, they played and thrived, Fourteen albums, their legacy survived. But in 2002, it was time to say goodbye, Farewell Tour 2002, a tearful goodbye.
